Article X   
Section 1.
  Definitions of the Town of Woodbridge ordinances addresses parking restrictions during winter storms.   

As used in this ordinance, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:  

Local Authorities
.  Includes the Board of Selectmen, Chief of Police, local Traffic Authority, or other officials having authority for the enactment or enforcement of traffic regulations within the Town of Woodbridge.  
Parked Vehicle
.  Any vehicle in a stationary position within the limit of a public highway.
.  Leaving of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, upon a highway otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, receiving or discharging passengers, or loading or unloading merchandise (other than from vehicle to vehicle), or in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs and signals.
.  Same as parking.

Section 2
.  Parking Restricted During Storms  

No vehicle may park on any highway of the Town of Woodbridge so as to interfere with operations for the removal of snow and/or the sanding of highways during the time of falling snow, sleet, or freezing rain; and thereafter until the highway has been cleared of snow, or sanded.  

In addition to the fine assessed for the violation, any police offier
of this municipality, by the direction of the Chief of Police, upon discovery of any vehicle in violation of this ordinance, may remove this vehicle and cause this vehicle to be stored at a designated garage. All charges relating to the towing and storage of this vehicle will be the responsibility of the registered owner of the vehicle.

Winter Storm Emergencies.  Parking bans, once declared, are posted with electronic media (Radio Stations: WT1C-AM 1080 TV Stations:  WTNH Ch. 8 (My TV9), WVIT Ch. 30, WFSB Ch. 3).
